লেক বাইকাল পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে বড় এবং সবচেয়ে পুরাতন স্বচ্ছ পানির হ্রদ। শীতকালে হ্রদটি জমে যায়। কিন্তু হ্রদের পানি এত পরিষ্কার যে বরফের ১৩০ ফুট তল পর্যন্ত পরিষ্কার দেখতে পাবেন। মার্চ মাসে বরফগুলিতে তুষার এবং রোদের কারণে ফাটল ধরে। এর ফলে বরফ থেকে এক ধরনের ফিরোজা রঙের আলো ঠিকরে বের হয়।

The water is so pure, you can clearly see up to 130 feet below you, especially in winter when the lake completely freezes over.
	The Waitomo Glowworm Caves attraction is a cave at Waitomo on the North Island of New Zealand. It is known for its population of glowworms, Arachnocampa luminosa. This species is found exclusively in New Zealand.
